Root Canals

Teeth have a pulp that occupies the center of the tooth down to its roots. This pulp contains the nerve and blood supply for the tooth. If the pulp becomes injured or infected, it will die. In order to save a tooth with an infected or injured pulp, a root canal treatment is necessary. During the root canal treatment, the roots and center of the tooth which contain the diseased nerves and blood supply are cleaned and sealed.

Early diagnosis and treatment is very important in obtaining successful results. If you are experiencing pain or sensitivity to temperature or pressure, please contact our office immediately as these are signs of a distressed tooth.

The majority of needed root canals are performed in the comfort of our Stoughton office with the team you know and trust. For your comfort, we offer the option of conscious sedation. There are cases that, after evaluation, might require a referral to the specialist.

From diagnosis to post-operative care, Dr. Adriana Jaramillo and her staff are dedicated to your care. Throughout the process, we make sure you understand the treatment, including what we are going to do, the cost, risks and benefits.
